the mission

lots of construction work going on downtown these days. this one impartially is what is left of the midnight mission. i hear its being moved, but i am not sure where. this will effect the amount of homeless on the streets, both here under my window and where ever they relocate the mission. the majority of this destruction was done this past Saturday at 7AM. fuckers. all i wanted was some sleep.

The D saves the universe!!

Last nite filippo and I were at the Wiltern to see Tenacious D & Friends. it fuckin' rocked my socks off. the line up was super sweet, Fiona Apple, Dave Grohl, Bob and David, Miss Sarah Silverman. funny shit. David did his "call to god" bit with bob and literally wet himself. (god made him do it) Dave Grohl stole the show with some great acoustic guitar and vocals. The D rocked it hard, and after their set the whole crew came on for an encore, all playing instruments. what a great show! its been a long time since I have seen The D live. there were all about their new movie coming out soon "the pick of destiny" they played new songs from the movie and the classic shit we love tribute , fuck her gently, double team, the road.....there is nothing quite like thousands of people yelling "I am going to fuck you hard"

In a rush of the crowd and the vodka cranberries I realized that this is the first D show I have seen with out Bill. back in the golden days of LA living he would drag me around to follow the D. the key club, largo, mr show tapings.....vegas....it was great shit. but these days, LA gives me a headache I spend too much time sitting in traffic. anyway back to my point, bill introduced me to The D and I am forever grateful. there is a new song in the movie that The D sang last nite, it made me think of Bill,simply titled "Dude I totally miss you"

ok so i am trying to figure out how this all works. i am bored to tears at work today, i finished all my crap and now i am just sitting here surfing the web. i will try my best not to make this blog a work bashing log....but chances are i will dip in to that. does this thing have spell check? fuck. no. any suggestions on how to kill time? for now i will hit up adultswim.com and play some online games. 6 pm come fast come swift...
